This is one of my favourite Young Adult Fantasy series.The book of three is a starting point. It sets up the rest of the series. But it sets it up with humour. The whole series is a good commentary on the balance of good and evil and how we define both in our society.
Lloyd Alexander weaves a captivating epic that starts as the search for a lost pig, meeting along the way many interesting characters and cruel villains.
I rate this book 8 out of 10. It wasn't quite as good as I remember it being when I was 15, but still captivating.
